Software-Defined Radio
CesiumAstro’s second-generation SDR is a high-performance software-defined radio in a ruggedized 3U SpaceVPX form factor for airborne, LEO, GEO, Lunar, and deep-space missions. Built on core CesiumAstro SDR technology, SDR-2104 features 4 receive and 4 transmit wide-bandwidth channels suitable for communications, sensing, and ranging applications. Supporting a wide range of communications protocols out of the box, such as DVB-S2(X) and CCSDS, SDR-2104 provides a versatile solution for the most demanding RF challenges.
SDR is a ready-to-use solution for wide bandwidth and high-data-rate RF applications. Handling the IF and baseband processing in a communications payload, SDR has four 1.2 GHz receive channels, four 1.2 GHz transmit channels, and a large FPGA for modem and other baseband processing. When configured as a DVB-S2X modem, SDR2104 is capable of supporting multi-Gbit/second data rates, depending on the selected DVB-S2(X) modulation and coding.
